StencilWall is the stencil application for vertical surfaces and is created using the ’Spray On’ System.
Before Application
After Application
1) Original Rendered Wall
The area to be surfaced is completely cleaned using a high-pressure power-washer to ensure that all the dirt and detritus material are removed.
2) A base coat (grey colour surface hardener mixed with an activator compound) is applied to the surface and left to dry. This provides a uniform base colour and ensures that the finished ‘grout lines’ will all be the same colour.
3) Once the base coat is completely dry; the self-adhesive stencil pattern is placed onto the surface, beginning with the header patterns and feature patterns.
4) Once the stencil is secure on the surface, a colour surface hardener mix is evenly sprayed onto the surface. Once the first coat is completely set, a second coat is applied to the surface.
5) After the required time (different with each job depending on weather conditions) the stencil can be removed, starting with the area that was first sprayed.
6) Once completely dry, the surface is cleaned and all the excess materials cleared away. The area is then sealed using a microporous concrete sealer. The sealer protects the vertical surface and contains a UV filter that prevents the colour/s from fading.
7) Once the first layer of sealer has dried, then another coat of the sealer is applied to further protect the StencilWall.
